6 bovines recovered, 4 held

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Feb 18: Chenani police arrested four persons including two drivers involved in smuggling of bovine animals.

Police also seized two Tata Mobile vehicles and recovered 6 bovine animals.

Reports said that Chenani police intercepted two Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration numbers JK14/2881 and JK14/2543 at a naka on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Chenani today.

Police recovered 6 bovine animals from two vehicles and arrested four persons including the drivers in this connection.

The arrested persons were identified as Sandeep Sharma, son of Suram Chand of Batal Ballian and Diwan Chand, son of Basant Ram of Ram Nagar, both drivers and Mohammad Ashraf, son of Alla Ditta and Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammed Ramzan, both residents of Ladha.

A case has been registered against them.
