Abdul Salam Parimoo's body laid to rest
KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 4 : Abdul Salam Parimoo was laid to rest at his ancestral grave yard at Malkhah here this afternoon.
Earlier, large number of people from different walks of life offered nimaz-e-jinaza at Pratap Park here.
Parimoo passed away here last evening.
Large number of people today visited the bereaved family to offer their condolences.
Meanwhile,the death of Parimoo has been widely mourned by social, political and religious organisations of the valley.
Awami Action Committee said the deceased was bestowed with many a social and political qualities.
The chairman of Awami Action Committee (AAC) Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq has said that the Parimoo's was a very close aide and confidant of Late Moulvi Mohammad Farooq.
"Parimoo sahib has done a lot in taking the Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam to glorious heights for which his role would be remembered for ever" said the chairman of AAC.
Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) has condoled the death of Abdul Salam Parimoo and has termed his death as a loss to the Kashmir people in general and to the business fraternity in particular.
The president of KTMF Ghulam Nabi Shah has said that Parimoo sahib has set an example for his fellow businessmen of the valley.
A delegation of KTMF led by its president visited the residence of bereaved family and expressed sympathy with it.
