Akbar Raj remanded to police custody

KOCHI, Oct 30 (Agencies): Akbar Raj, arrested for sending e-mails threatening the lives of the President and the Prime Minister, was today remanded to police custody till November 3.

He was produced before the Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate which allowed a police application seeking seeking his custody for further interrogation.

Raj, arrested yesterday, had been produced before the magistrate at his residence last evening and remanded to judicial custody till November 10.
