Akhand Joyti to reach Pingla Mata on 5

KT NEWS SERVICE RAMNAGAR, Sep 16: To discuss arrangements for smooth conduct of Pingla Mata pilgrimage during Navratras starting from September 30, a meeting of Tehsil Officers, Pingla Mata Committee members and Councilors of Ramnagar, was held here Monday.

Threadbare discussions were held on arrangements like drinking water and power supply, security, medicare, transport and sanitation at Shrine site and enroute.

The Tehsildar directed the officers concerned to put in their best efforts in making available safe drinking water to yatris besides uninterrupted power supply.

He also called upon officers of Health Department to deploy mobile staff with medicines at vintage points.

The Police was also asked to deploy adequate security during yatra days.

The celebrations of Navratras would commence in Ramnagar from September by lighting the sacred Akhand Joyti at Pingla Mata Chabutra located in the heart of Ramnagar town, amidst chanting of mantras and bhajans by the Pandits and devotees.

The Akhand Joyti would be carried to Pingla Mata Darbar on October 5 morning by a big procession of devotees.

Various social and volunteer organizations are holding free langers at Shrine site.
