Annual Hussani mushaira held at Budgam

KT NEWS SERVICE BUDGAM, Jan 12 : A Hussani mushaira was held at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall Budgam today, in which renowned poets participated.

While delivering inaugural lecture, Shahid Budgami said the significance of this mushaira is that Kashmiri, Punjabi and Balti poets are participating in it.

He lauded the efforts made by the Deputy Commissioner Budgam for upgradation of the Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall which is very comfortable for holding such functions.

The mushaira was divided in two sessions, the first session was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Khawaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu, while Professor Abdul Wahid Qureshi, Ex-Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University inaugurated the second session.

Besides, various dignitaries, large number of prominent citizens attended the mushaira.

Earlier, special issue of weekly 'Budshah' was also released by Deputy Commissioner Budgam on the occasion.
