Army aid for Sodhi's family

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, June 20: General Officer Commanding (GOC) Tiger Division Major General D L Choudhary today handed over a Demand Draft of Rs 25000 on behalf of Western Command to the family of photojournalist Ashok Sodhi, who was killed in an encounter at Samba on May 11, 2008.

GOC paid his visit to the house of photojournalist Ashok Sodhi and met his family members.

He expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Sodhi.

Chowdhary extended heartfelt condolences with bereaved family members.

He handed over a Demand Draft of Rs 25000 to Varsha Sodhi - wife of photojournalist, as a goodwill gesture on behalf of Western Command.
