Asso Club wins state Korfball champions trophy

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Mar 3: Association of Jammu Club clinched 4th State Tennis Ball Cricket champions trophy by thrashing District Baramulla in final match, played yesterday at Green Field , Play Field.

Batting first after winning toss Jammu Association Club set a target of 93 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 12 overs.

In reply, District Baramulla was bowled out in 11 overs on 64 runs.

Jammu Association Club won the match by 29 runs.

Earlier in semifinal Baramulla defeated Pulwama by wickets.

Feriz Ahmed Lone of Baramulla was declared man of the series.

The best players of the tournament in women second is Masarat of Kashmir division.

Rahul Puri was named man of the match for his out standing performance in the final match.

Later on the prizes were distributed to winners and runners-up teams by chief guest MLCs Gh Nabi Lone, Lodhi Bilal and Vaid Mahajan.
