SP threatems to Gherao PMO, Advani Lucknow, oct 6(uni) Samajwadi Party President and Former Defence Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today threatened to " Gherao" the office of the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister if the "atrocities" and "false cases" against the party is workers and leaders were not withdrawn within ten days.

Addressing a press conference here, Yadav alleged that the BJP-led government in Uttar Pradesh was implicating the SP workers in false cases to divert the attention of the people from their misrule.

"Our MPs and workers would lay seige of the office of the PM and Home Minister in New Delhi after ten days if the cases are not withdrawn by then," the former State Chief Minister said.

He claimed that the State Government had jailed hundreds of SP workers in Faizabad, including a senior leader Mitra Sen Yadav, who representated the State Assembly five times and Lok Sabha twice.

"Can anyone believe that the police had lodged Yadav in a general cell in the jail in connection with a dacoity case," he exclaimed.

Yadav said similar was the case in Lucknow, where the partys senior leaders, including SP State Secretary General Shiv Pal Singh Yadav, Ravidas Mehlotra and Arun Shanker Shukla alias Anna have been implicated for the disturbances at the old city area after ban on Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) on September 27.

Four people were killed in the police firing during the clashes between the simi supporters and police on that day.

Yadav said that a meeting of the senior party leaders would be held here on October 11 to prepare the strategy for the agitation to be launched against the government in protest against the "atrocities" on the party workers.

Calling upon the party workers to be prepared for the agitation against the government, Yadav alleged that the state BJP government had evolved a "conspiracy" to implicate the SP workers to safeguard its political future.

Commenting on the ban on SIMI, the SP president said " I had already demanded that the decision on the ban should be taken only after through an all party meeting chaired by Prime Minister".

"If the government provides full evidence against the SIMI for its anti-national role, then we would certainly support the ban," he asserted.

Talking about the Congress Party, he said the economic condition of the country had deteriorated due to the wrong policies introduced by the Congress government in the early nineties.

Reacting over the change of Chief Ministership in Gujarat by the BJP, Yadav said the BJP had adopted the Congress culture.
