Azad visits photo exhibition in JU
KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 27: The Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad visited the University of Jammu on Friday where he inaugurated an exhibition of photographs by S P Sahni 'Nehru in Kashmir' organized by the Centre for Nehru Studies.
Accompanied by his wife Shameema Azad the chief minister also released a publication of the Centre for Quality Assurance titled 'Scaling New Hights' The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Amitabh Mattoo, veteran photographer S P Sahni, Meenakshi Kilam, Director Centre for Quality Assurance and senior officials of the University also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister visited the Photo/Art Gallery etc of the new upcoming General Zorawar Singh Auditorium and appreciated the collections in the mega building.
He showed keen interest in the photos of Jawarhar Lal Nehru exhibiting his association with the state in particular the valley.
After releasing the publication the chief minister stressed for the quality measures in the higher education in improving its standard in this contemporary scenario and further expressed taken by the University in this direction.
Meenakshi Kilam threw light on the various measures taken by the University in streamlining the process in campus viz-e-viz academic and administrative.
