ISLAMABAD, March 2 (UNI) Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz today said a meaningful progress in the peace process can be achieved only through resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue.

"Though relations between Pakistan and India are improving as a result of the confidence building measures, a meaningful progress can only be made if the core issue of Kashmir is resolved," Aziz said while talking to a delegation of the Communist Party of India led by Harkishan Singh Surjeet here this evening.

He hoped that the resolution of Kashmir issue will create immense opportunities for investment trade and commerce between the two countries.

He reiterated that Pakistan is sincere to have good relations with India and urged the Communist leaders Harkishan Singh Surjeet and A B Bardhan to use their influence to support the peace process between the two countries.
