BJP mocks at Lalu's oft predictions

By Staff Reporter • 2008-07-03 • 2 min read

NEW DELHI, Jul 2 (UNI): Mocking at Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav's habbit of making predictions which always go wrong, the BJP today said days are not far when Laluji would be compelled to adopt astrology as his profession.

The Minister has predicted that Nitish Kumar would never be the Chief Minister of Bihar but Nitish belied his prediction, BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said.

Now Laluji is haunted with the possibility of BJP stalwart L K Advani becoming the Prime Minister of the country and hence is often indulging in making 'predictions' on his own that Advani is not destined to become Prime Minister.

"We are sure people in the next election will prove Laluji wrong and the RJD supremo will have no option but to take up to astrology as his profession," he asserted.

Javadekar said Lalu Prasad knew it well that his party would be reduced to margins in Bihar and, that is why, he was opposing early elections.

A scheme for the free education of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes would also be launched at the function to be attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar too.

Singh and Kumar today exchanged views on the schemes through video conferencing on the occasion of the launch of the scheme in Patna.

The cooperation of madrasas and religious institutions like Darul Uloom will be sought in the implementation of the scheme, Secretary of the National Open School D S Bisht said here.

The girls will be trained in seven trades.

Funds will be transferred to the Bihar Education Project Council under the Flagship Programme of the HRD Ministry-the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan(SSA), he said.
