While speaking to KT, Dogri Writer, Surinder Sharma said that Dogri speaking people are discriminated by the official discrimination in every sphere of life.
It is in place to mention here that whenever someone tries the number of BSNL-customer care, one gets reply in Kashmiri, Hindi and English, which has been posing problem to Dogri speaking people of Jammu.
When contacted General Manager BSNL-Mobile, he displayed ignorance and assured to look into the matter.

Civic Notes Water shortage; poor management is a factor Arteev Sharma Though Jammu city is facing acute water shortage and the fifteen lakh and are bearing the brunt of it for the last many years yet the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department has not found a way out.
In fact the problem is more of management rather than shortage of water.
The city has water resources that can take care of city's need of water, however, lack of appropriate and efficient supply system and poor management has led to the crisis, and educating the people about the problem.
Ironically, despite the acute water shortage being faced by the people, in many residential areas, it is the general practice for people to install "on-line boosters," or "powerful pumps" fitted into the plumbing to coax water into their homes.
They are not even deterred by the fact that such fittings are completely illegal and concerned authorities are reluctant to take suitable action against the offenders.
It is worth mentioning here that the residents of Jammu West, particularly, New Plot, Sarwal and other areas waved empty buckets and broke dozens of water pitchers to block traffic and show their anger over taps that began to run dry for the last several months.
The callousness of state government and concerned authorities can be gauged from the officials' records that average requirement of potable water of the city on daily basis is 35 million gallons and presently the city is running short of 11 million gallons per day.
Though the state government has decided to place order for construction of equal capacity (70 lakh gallons per day) third plant near Sitlee filtration plant to increase present capacity of 140 lakh gallons to 2.10 crore gallons per day against the need based requirement of 1.40 crore gallon per day yet the repair work at Sitlee pumping station is still hangs in limbo.
