CAs meet in Jammu

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Mar 17: J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organized a seminar on 'Professional skills of the chartered accountants' at Jammu Club today.

The seminar was held under the leadership of Arun Kumar Gupta in which Dr.

G N Qasba, registrar cooperative societies was the chief guest and Amarjeet Chopra member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi was the guest of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Qasba appreciated the role of chartered accountants in providing independent reporting and professional accounting and auditing services.

He apprised the members that in future cooperative societies have to e-file their annual returns and these societies will definitely require the services of chartered accountants.

In his address, Chopra discussed in detail about the latest developments in the field of audit that has tremendous relevance and discussed the rapid developments in the financial sector and stressed on the developments of skills in this sector and informed that this seminar is the continuation of the ICAI programmes for compulsory continuing education programme for the CA members.

The proceedings of the seminar were conducted by Hardeep Aggarwal and Wig Sinbad presented vote of thanks.
