Daily wagers demand pay

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Mar 2: Power Workers' Association has demanded release of the pay of daily wagers in the department, which is pending for the last 14 months, besides, they have also asked for regularisation of the daily wagers as soon as possible.

At a meeting held on March 1, the members of the Association also asked for being provided with the ITI grade to the leftover employees as per the SRO 149 of 1973 and minimum grade of Rs 4000-6000 to all matriculate employees in the department.

According to a press release, Kabla Singh Jamwal, general secretary of the Association, chaired the meeting.
