Dev works reviewed at Ramnagar

KT NEWS SERVICE RAMNAGAR, Sep16: To take stock of development works and public grievances, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ajay Khajuria with a team of District Officers visited Ramnagar on Tuesday.

Rathore, District Social Welfare Officer, Anil Sharma, Engineers of ERA, PWD, PHE and PDD accompanied the DC.

Responding to public grievances at Ramnagar like early completion of double laning work on Roun Domail – Ramnagar road, tourism development at Ramnagar, shortage of staff in educational institutions, filling up vacant posts in schools, fresh survey of BPL beneficiaries, supply of safe drinking water, shortage of K.Oil and Domestic Gas, early completion of Dheeran bridge, upgradation of power supply and Pingla Mata bridle path etc., the DC issued instructions to officers for early redressal of the demands and problems of the people.

On the occasion, the DC distributed 21 sewing machines among the widows of the tehsil besides handing over cheques to these widows worth Rs.73,000 arranged by the Social Welfare Department to enable the young widows to earn their livelihood by starting the cutting and tailoring work in their respective areas.

Later, the DC convened a meeting of District and Tehsil Officers which was attended among others by the Tehsildar, Ramnagar.

Earlier, the DC also inspected construction work on Kuh Nallah bridge and additional block of Government Degree College, Ramnagar.

He instructed the engineers of ERA and Project Construction Corporation for ensuring the early completion with no compromise on the quality of works executed.
