DIC seminar at Doongi
KT NEWS SERVICE RAJOURI, June 7: State Information Department Rajouri organized a seminar in Govt.
Higher Secondary School, Doongi in Rajouri block yesterday.
The topic of the seminar was " Forest fire and role of villagers".
In all over dozen of students of different classes took part and spoke at length on protection of forests.
Manju Sharma of class 9th was adjudged first while Anuraga Sharma of class 12th and Saroop Sharma of class 10th were declared 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Vijay Sagar Sharma presided while students, teachers and villagers of nearby schools also turned up to witness the function.
Principal while speaking on the occasion said that large scale of forest fires not only destroy the forest wealth but also contribute towards global warming.
He said the villagers of the adjoining localities can play a vital role in controlling the forest fires by remaining vigilant.
He thanked the Information department for organizing such a seminar to create awareness for checking forest fires.
District Information Officer, Rajouri gave away the prizes to first three toppers and consolation prizes were given to all participant students.
