Div Com reviews the development scenario of Shiv Khori Shrine Board

Sudhanshu Pandey who is also the Chairman of Shiv Khori Shrine Board reviewed the development works going on at base camp Ransoo and Shiv Khori cave shrine site at a meeting of officers of various departments here today.

During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the pace of ongoing development works already taken in hand at Shiv Khori Shrine cave and Ransoo area to provide adequate facilities to the visiting pilgrims and the Action Taken Report of the previous meeting.

Pandey during the meeting asked the officers ensure smooth functioning of the board.

He said that a Accounts Officer will be posted at the shrine board who will look after the account matters of the Shrine board.

Upon inquiring about the flow of pilgrims, the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (Member Secretary) of the board apprised the Divisional Commissioner that since January Ist to last evening over 2.22 devotees had darshans of the cave shrine and presently over 2000 devotees are visiting daily.

An increase of over 27000 devotees was also registered up to ending May 2008 as compared to last years first five months.

The Divisional Commissioner expressed his satisfaction over the development scenario and arrangements already made for the facility of devotees.

He further called for beautification of 3 kms long track by planting trees of various species, medicinal plants, developing parks and gardens.

Later the Divisional Commissioner also visited the Shiv Khori Shrine Cave to pay obeisance and also took stock of the arrangements for the visiting devotees.

The Deputy Commissioner, Reasi and officers of various departments also accompanied the Divisional Commissioner during his visit to Shiv Khori.
