Jammu boys shine in basketball KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Nov 7: Jammu boys routed district Kathua to claim the Divisional level Inter District (under-19) Basketball competitions that was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Mini Stadium, Parade, here today.

Jammu boys won the final by a big margin 62-20.

In under-19 boys inter-district hockey competitions, there were three teams in the fray for top honours.

In the preliminary round matches, played today at K K Hakhu Stadium, , Jammu blanked Poonch 3-0.

Jaspreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Gurjeet score one goal each.

Kathua also defeated Poonch with a big margin 5-1.

Abhinandan scored two goals, while Rahul, Rohit and Gourav contributed one each.

From Poonch, Harpreet reduced the margin sounding the board in the second half.

The final shall be played tomorrow between Jammu and Kathua.

Among those present were Chanchal Kour, Sunita Goel, R C Vaid, Jeet Singh, Usha Jamwal and Sarita Padha.
