DP Dhar Memorial Football Tourney in Summer

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Apr 4: 23rd DP Dhar Memorial Football championship will be organised by Kashmir Sports in summer session in which all the B-division team duly registered with the J&K Football Association likley to take part in the competition.

The decision to this effect was the taken in a meeting chaired by Ghulam Rasool, president where in member the executive body of the Kashmir Sports also took decision to promote game of football in the valley.

According to ML Qazi, officer secretary, Kashmir Sports, teams from Government Higher Secondary School and Colleges can also participate in the said tournament.

The runners-up and winner teams will be suitable awarded .

During the tournament former outstanding players will also be honoured with the gold medals for their contribution in the field of football.

Qazi told it was also decided to organise football tournament in the memory of Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad former prime minister of Jammu and Kashmir state.

He also informed that Governor and chief minister also lauded the role of the Kashmir Sports.
