Fake currency recovered in Banihal: Police

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 18: Police claimed to have seized fake currency and have arrested an accused person, under the jurisdiction the police station Banihal.

Police said that the complaint was lodged by Mohammed Iqbal son of Mohammed Sultan resident of Dulgam, Banihal against Abdul Majid son of Ahad Wani resident of Gugthal in Dulgam for giving fake currency notes of fifty rupees denomination amounting to Rs 28000 with intention to deceive to the applicant.

Police have started investigation and have registered a FIR number 13/09 under section 489/420 RPC at police station Banihal.
