Fire in Kathua school

KT NEWS SERVICE KATHUA, May 2: A major fire broke out in the forest belt behind Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya in Basholi Tehsil in district Kathua due to some unknown reasons.

The fire fighting teams rushed to the area to control the blaze.

Some trees were gutted besides bushes and other wild growth.

No human loss or life to the property has been reported.

Ina another incident, fire broke out in the fields at Logate Morh Kathua this evening.

The fire tenders from Kathua rushed to the spot.

Reports said that the crop was harvested by the owner and only bushes caught fire.

Man drown KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, May 2: A man drowned in Tawi river in Toldi nallah area of Samroli in Udhampur district today.

Police reports said that a man drowned in Tawi river while crossing it at Samroli in Udhampur district.

He has been identified as Ishwar Das of Samroli.

The body was fished out and after autopsy it was handed over to the family members for last rites.

Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPc.
