Forest graduates' plea to govt
KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 18: Over 120 forest graduates have sought intervention from the high-ups in ensuring the deserving candidates from the relevant field are adjusted in the forest department.
They made a particular reference to the recent notice of the Public Service Commission for appointing eight Assistant Conservator Forests in Forest Department.
A delegation of the candidates said that though they should be the ideal candidates for the particular position, the PSC had not included them in the eligible candidates.
It was after an agitation and protest by the forest graduates that they were made eligible by a notice PSC/06 on February 11.
However, the candidates insist that while the PSC has made almost everybody from engineering to mathematics eligible for the post, they would not get any chance to get adjusted as per their specialization.
Candidates have sought intervention at the highest level so that their specialization is used in the proper and systematic way.
