Hailstorm damages crop

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 12: Standing crops worth lakhs of rupees has been destroyed due to a hailstorm that lashed Bishnah Tehsil on Thursday night.

The vegetable crops were worst affected due to the hail that lashed the belt on Thursday night.

The small farmers suffered losses in lakhs due to the hail and have urged the government to come forward to compensate their losses.

Some of the poor farmers are on brink of starvation due to these losses.

The farmers urged the concerned department and the government to come forward in these crisis and pay compensation for their losses.
