Handicapped body criticises social welfare deptt

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Dec 9: Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Welfare Association district Doda has expressed its disappointment over the alleged non cooperative attitude of the Social Welfare officials towards the Association.

As per release, the district president of the Association Farooq Ahmed in a meeting held at Bahdarwah charged that some officials of the Social Welfare Department of turned down the request of Association of necessary arrangements for a programme related to World Disabled Day on December 3.

He alleged except ADC Doda, SDM Bahdarwah and District Social Welfare Officer no one turned up from the administration and all this shows the apathetic attitude of government towards the disabled persons.

Dr Yashpal Sharma nominated chief spokesperson KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Dec 9: Principal and Dean, Government Medical College Hospital, Dr Vijay Gupta has nominated Dr Yashpal Sharma, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital as the chief spokesperson of Medical College and Associated Hospitals.

Dr Ghanshyam Saini of SMGS Hospital and Dr Arvind Kohli of GMC Hospital has been nominated as spokespersons.
