Health employees to strike against adhoc services decision

KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 18: The Medical Employees Federation as well as the Health and Family Welfare Confederation have decided to go on a one day strike on February 23 against the recent government order wherein the services of the adhoc employees working in the health services and medical education have been placed under the clause of contractual appointments.

In a statement issued here, both the federations have decided to launch an agitation so that the services of the affected employees are regularized.

According to these federations government had many a times through the print media and electronic media said that the services of the adhoc employees would be regularized, but nothing of that sort happened and these employees were given a shocking treatment instead.

Both the Federations have decided to keep all the hospitals closed on February 23 and have also ridiculed the statement of the finance minister Muzaffar Hussain Beigh which he made in the legislative assembly regarding the regularization of the adhoc employees.
