Hurriyat (G) alleges cutodial killing

KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Jan 27: The Geelani faction of Hurriyat Conference today termed the "custodial killing" of Mohammed Yaqoob Mir as yet another example of "state terrorism" and said that there is no let up in such incidents.

A spokesman of Hurriyat (G) said that a team of Hurriyat led by the General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Sumji today visited the residence of Mohammed Yaqoob and expressed their condolence to his family members.

They quoted the family members as saying that the security agencies were after Yaqoob once he got released from the jail, said the spokesman.

The family members have told the team that Yaqoob was killed by subjecting him to lethal torture.

According to the spokesman, Sumji has termed the killing of Yaqoob as yet another example of "state terrorism".

He has said that there is no let up in the atrocities being perpetrated on Kashmiris.

He has said that atrocities against Kashmiri people are committed under the garb of peace process.
