Indo-Pak friendship through "Dostkari"

New Delhi, July 9 (UNI): Pakistan High Commissioner Aziz Ahmed Khan is of the view that interaction between the craftspersons of India and Pakistan will go a long way in improving relations between the two countries.

Releasing an illustrated report on 'Dostkari', the craft and design interaction between craftpersons of India and Pakistan here last evening, he said, "This contact, I hope, will bring better understanding between the two nations." The report documents the fusion art works created by Pakistani and Indian artisans at the Dostkari Craft Design Workshop organised in March this year at Dilli Haat.

'Dostkari', a combination of 'dosti (friendship) and 'kari' (craftsmanship), saw seven artisans from Pakistan join hands with ten craftsmen from India.

Khan said Pakistan would soon host a similar interaction between the craftspeople of the two countries.

Jaya Jaitly, President of the Samiti which organised the workshop, said crafts activity could become a successful instrument of diplomacy.

New Delhi-Jammu Tawi summer special to run till August 15 New Delhi, July 9 (UNI): The summer special train between New Delhi and Jammu Tawi has been extended till August 15, the Northern Railway said today.

The 403/404 summer special was to end its run on July 30.

The train leaves New Delhi at 2030 hrs to reach Jammu Tawi at 0610 hrs the next day.

It leaves Jammu Tawi at 2030 hrs and reaches New Delhi at 0640 hrs the next day.

The train runs on all days excpet Saturday.
