Industries team meets CM
KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, July 16: A delegation of Federation of Industries met Prime Minister Dr.
Manmohan Singh during his visit to Jammu and apprised him of their demands like central package of incentives be made applicable to existing/old industry, refund of central excise, income tax holiday, interest subsidy, insurance subsidy and transport subsidy without any condition.
The delegation also demanded that enought power be supplied to them from the Northern Grid, sufficient funds be provided to the state government for the establishment of new industrial areas in Jammu as well as in Kashmir, there should be optional an industrial unit to avail either refund and exemption of central excise, neutrality of location, extension of central package to service industry, enhancement of CIS to 30 percent with maximum, of 1.5 crores at par with the package of incentive given to north -eastern states and extend the same to export oriented units.
Prime Minister assured the delegation their demands will be looked positively.
Chief patron, Kuldeep Dogra, chairman, Rajesh Jain, co-chairman, Annil Suri, seceratry general, Sanjay Mehra, chief coordinator, Tejwant Singh Reen accompanied the delegation.
Chief Minister, Gh Gulam Nabi Azad and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sudanshu Pandey was also present.
