Inter zonal Sports activities from today

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, May 3: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), district Jammu has approved the annual inter-school zonal level calendar of activities in a meeting held here the other day.

The meeting which held under the chairmanship of district officer, Jai Raj and attended by all the 20 Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEO), decided to start the activities from May four.

“As we have to complete the zonal level activities of Jammu district before May 25 in all the age groups of both boys and girls, the concerned ZPEOs are, however, at liberty to change the dates as per their suitability,” district officer, Jai Raj told .

As per the schedule of activities decided in the meeting held on April 25, the activities kick off from May four.

The ZPEOs have been entrusted with the job to conduct inter-school competitions in the events of kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball and wrestling (boys).

Rest of the indoor events of table tennis, judo, badminton, gymnastics, chess, carrom and swimming, to be held at district level, shall be conducted by the district office itself.
