J&K scouts, guides bracing up for 'Thinkers Day'

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Feb 16 : Jammu and Kashmir state Bharat Scouts and Guides are bracing up for big participation in Thinkers Day on February 22, 2004.

The day is being observed all over the country with a resolve to foster National Integration, bonds of amity among people particularly youngsters.

The main feature of the event would be participated by minimum eight students each from various schools of Jammu district.

The volunteers would be briefed about objectives of the day to further spread the massage of peach, tranquility and harmony in the society in true spirit of world as a family.

Meanwhile, 50 scouts and guides from almost all the districts of the state return back after participating in the international meet held in Bangladesh recently.

The meet rechristened as Jumboori was attended by 450 scouts and guides from all over the country.

The JK contingent was honored at a function here yesterday which among others was attended by President J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides Association, S.

Harbans Singh, Senior Vice President, Roma Wani, State Commissioner, Nasreen Khan, Joint State Commissioner, s Sakina and other functionaries of the association.
