Sir when the whole world (Muslim world) has come out on the roads and streets in protests against the cartoons published by aDanish newspaper and other European newspapers, here in Rohini jail (Delhi) one assistant Superintendent has crossed the limits.
In the name of searching the cell of high security ward of jail (where mostly Kashmiri and Pakistanis are kept in deteriorating conditions), this person while searching our bags threw away the copies of the Holy Quran hurting our religious sentiments".
The letter further says, "On protesting he proudly appreciated his act of throwing away Holy Quran and also told us that not even the chief minister of Delhi can do anything to him.
He also beat us while some of the inmates were offering the prayers.
The letter goes on to say, "We can tolerate the abuses, but not abuses regarding the religious sentiments.
