Mula Ram pays rich tributes to Louise Braille

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 4: It has been serious endeavour of the state government to ameliorate the condition of socially downtrodden, handicapped persons, widows and orphans" said Mula Ram while paying rich tributes to Louise Braille the pro-generator of Braille script, generally known as "Messiah of Blinds" on his 197th birthday at a function organized by the Social Welfare Department at blind home here today.

Minister of state for Social Welfare, Ghulam Hassan Khan was also present.

Emphasizing on the role of general people to provide social status to these people, Minister said that it is a social and moral responsibility of every to take out down trodden from vicious circle of the feelings being alienated and helplessness.

He said the blind people need our sympathy and helping hand so that they could contribute in the progress and development of the country.

The Government is also making every possible endeavors to make these people self sufficient to lead them a dignified and honorable life in the society.

He also invited suggestions from the citizens for bettering their lot.
