Musharraf's brother visits Khajuraho
KHAJURAHO, Madhya Pradesh, Mar 25 (UNI): Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's elder brother Javed has expressed the hope that relations between India and his country will improve with each passing day and the two countries live in peace and help each other in overcoming challenges.
"Though I left India for Pakistan at the age of six, I have tremendous affection for this land and its people," he told journalists last evening while viewing the world-renowned shrines here as part of his India tour.
Describing the age-old Chandela-era sculpture as unparalleled, Musharraf said he had always strongly desired to view them first hand.
The distinguished visitor spent quite some time looking the images and interacting with the guides.
Musharraf, who retired from the Pakistan Administrative Services, is in India along with his mother and nephew.
