Mystery, shrouds woman's death

KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Apr 2: The residents of Dagga Mohalla in Rainawari area staged protests against the death of a woman under mysterious circumstances.

A local news agency KNS while quoting police said 35 year old Firdousa Akhtar wife of Farooq Ahmad Shayir was found dead in her room at Dagga Mohalla last night.

The body of the lady had been wrapped in a blanket and placed in a rooms while her two children had been sent to their maternal home.

The news agency reported as one of the children returned to her house she did not find her mother in the room and once she turned on the lights the body of Firdousa was lying there.

Hearing her shrieks the neigbours assembled on the scene and they informed the police who took the possession of the body.

The residents of the area today came out on the main road and raised the slogans against the in laws of Firdousa Akhtar.

These people barged into the house of in laws and broke the furniture as well as articles present in the house.

Police has registered a case 27/07 under section 302 of RPC at Police Station Rainawari and arrested the husband of the lady.

Further investigations have been launched into the case.
