NC constitutes Board to select LS candidates

KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 18: NC has reportedly set up a 9-member Parliamentary Board Board to identify potential candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Party President Omer Abdullah and Sheikh Nazir Ahmad would supervise its exercise.

The Board members include Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah, Mohammed Shafi Uri, Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, Ali Mohammed Sagar, Khalid Najeeb Suhrawardy, Ajay Sadhotra, Dr Mehboob Baig and somebody from Rajouri and Poonch.

Reports suggest that the candidates would formally be nominated within a few days after the Board forwards their names.

Omer, on the other hand, is started an interaction with the Di strict Presidents in this connection.

Omer has flown to Srinagar this afternoon.
