NC criticises Mufti's remarks
KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Aug 6: National Conference has ridiculed the statement of chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that Kashmir's "precious tradition and way of living is intact despite violence and bloodshed".
An NC spokesman, in a press statement, said Mufti is allegedly hell bent on destroying the centuries old heritage and Kashmiriyat.
"The recent example is the passage of Transfer of Property Act and putting the Permanent Resident Disqualification Bill into cold storage", he said.
The spokesman said people in state know it that which people have taken up the task of "destroying the identity" of the state at the directions of the centre for their personel interests".
He said when the bloodshed was at its peak during early nineties, Mufti allegedly left valley and become the home minister.
