NDA to perform better in Bihar polls: Digvijay
NEW DELHI, June 17 (UNI) Former Union Minister Digvijay Singh today expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance will fare better than earlier in the forthcoming Assembly Elections in Bihar.
Talking to mediapersons here after taking oath as Rajya Sabha member, Singh observed that the electors in Bihar were fully aware of the reasons leading to the stalemate in government formation following the February elections.
Laluji will end up with even lesser seats than he gathered in February, Singh said, adding that the next Bihar government shall be formed by the NDA constituents.
On the role of the state Governor in stalling the formation of a popular government in Bihar, Singh said the high office required utmost impartiality with the person adorning it remaining aloof from politics.
He said the Conference of Governors here earlier this week had also expressed concern at the office becoming politicised.
