Pahari Form demands induction of Jan into cabinet

KT NEWS SERVICE POONCH, Jan 7: An emergency meeting of the Pahari Welfare Forum J&K State was held at Poonch under the chairmanship of Lokesh Kumar Sharma, in which a large number of Pahari people participated.

During the meeting the office bearers as well as those present in the meeting made a demand for the induction of GM Jan, MLA Haweli (Poonch) into ministry so that the Pahari, Backward and Border region people of the state get due representation..

Sharma appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to take Aijaz Jan into his council of ministers as he is a young, dynamic and able like his late father.

Among others who were present in the meeting were Shakeel Azad, M.M.

Khan, Ravinder Kumar Kalab Abbas, Manmohan Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Harbans Singh, Iqhlaq Khan, ex-MLC, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Arun Sharma and others.

Indian Therapies Trust launches awareness campaign KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 7: Trust for Revival of Ancient Indian Therapies, an organization for promotion of Ayurveda started a door to door campaign to educate the people about the need for embracing the Indian system of medicine for fit and healthy life.

In a press statement issued here, the chairman of the organization Randheer Singh Bhau said that the concept has been launched to aware the general public about the goodness of the Ayurveda.

The trust was formed by a group of degree holders in Ayurveda for purpose of educating masses about traditional systems of therapies.

The trusts claims to have made a comprehensive plan to reach the people at their doorsteps and conduct small demonstration that include the utility of practicing Ayurvedic notes for healthy living.

He said that it helps eradication of many diseases that need allopathic treatment and can save people from falling prey to many diseases also.

JD(S) welcomes new govt formation KT NEWS ERVICE JAMMU, Dec 7: Janta Dal (S) Jammu President Dhanraj Bangotra welcomed formation of new elected government in Jammu and Kashmir.

JD(S) also welcomed participation of people in large scale in democratic process by casting their votes and disowned the militants and he commended the role of masses in showing faith in democratic process by ignoring the appeal of the separatists and hardliners.

Dhanraj expressed hope that Omar Abdullah will provide honest and clean government and also take measures to finish the militancy and bring before1987 like peace in the state and ensure progress and development of the all regions of the state.
