PCC condoles Nirmala's death, Kishtwar accident casualties

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, May 2: Members of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) have condoled the demise of social activist, Dr.

Nirmala Deshpande.

In a meeting of the Committee, speakers paid their tributes to Deshpande and highlighted her life achievements.

Members observed two minutes silence and prayed to Almighty for the peace of the departed soul.

PCC leaders also expressed grief and sorrow over the landslide tragedy at Salaran in Chhatru area of Kishtwar district in which several lives were lost and conveyed their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family.

Among others who participated in the meeting included former MP and senior vice president PCC, Dharam Pal Sharma, MLC and vice president, Pradhuman Singh, MP, Madan Lal Sharma, ex-MLAs, Baldev Sharma and Bharat Gandhi, Amolak Singh, Ravinder Sharma, president INTUC, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Choudhary Shah Mohammed, Mian Nazir Ahmed, M S Jatt and Karan Singh.
