PNB workshop on agriculture debt waiver

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, June 7: Punjab National Bank conducted seminar cum workshop on agriculture debt waiver and relief scheme where in various issues were clarified to bank officers for immediate implementation.

Addressing the participants, Deputy General Manager of the bank RC Koul said that implementation of this scheme is a national priority and banks are committed to implement the same in time bound schedule.

Chief guest in the function, General Manager of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), DR Pawar while speaking on the occasion asked all banks to implement the scheme correctly to ensure amelioration to the distressed farmers.

He said that farmers covered under this scheme are also eligible for fresh loans for the same activity and should not be construed by the defaulters by the bank.

Others who spoke and presented papers in the seminar include chief Punjab National Bank Jammu circle Dr B M Padha.
