Police constable injured in accidental fire

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 18: A police constable sustained serious injuries with his service rifle which went off accidentally and hit his bladder today at police station Loran, in Poonch district.

The injured police constable has been identified as Constable Mushtaq Ahmad number 652/p.

Police said that Mustaq Ahmad sustained serious injuries in an accidental fire, while he was cleaning his service rifle at Police Station Loran.

Police added that one round suddenly fired and hit his bladder, injuring him critically.

Police further said that the injured constable was rushed to District Hospital, Poonch, from where he was referred to Government Medical College, (GMC) Jammu for advanced treatment.

Police has registered a case in the concerned police station.
