Qureshi takes oath as MLC

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Mar 16: Chairman Legislative Council Abdul Rashid Dar today administered the oath to National Conference's Mohammad Rashid Qureshi as a member of J&K Legislative Council.

After taking oath of office and secrecy Qureshi was congratulated by the Chairman, who hoped that he will be an asset to the House.

NC members also congratulated their new colleague, who replaced PDP's Master Tassaduq Hussain from Poonch after State High Court declared latter's election as null and void.

Justice Nargotra in his judgement had declared Qureshi as legitimate representative from Poonch and hence declared him as elected.
