RTO realises Rs 1.03 lakh fine

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Feb 18: Regional Transport Office has realised a fine of Rs 1,03,600 from traffic rules violators.

As per a press release, on the direction of transport commissioner, AC Chatarvedi, Regional Transport Officer along with team of motor vehicle inspectors conducted a surprise checking on National Highway from Jammu to Samba.

During the checking more than 260 vehicles were checked and 110 were found operating in violaton of traffic rules out of which 55 vehicles were compounded on spot and an amount of Rs 1,03,600 realised as compound money.

Commissioner warned the people not to operate vehicles in violation of traffic rules otherwise stern action would be taken against the violators.
