AHMEDABAD, Apr 12 (UNI) Senior state BJP leader and former Gujarat minister Jaynarayan Vyas today said all parties should abide by the Supreme Court's order of reinvestigation and retrial in the infamous Best Bakery case.

The apex court today ordered reinvestigation and retrial in the case to be held in Maharashtra and removed the public prosecutor from the case.

A bench of Justice Doraiswamy Raju and Arijit Pasayat thereby set aside the trial court and Gujarat High Court judgement acquitting all the 21 accused in the case pertaining to killing of 14 people in the Best Bakery in Vadodara in the aftermath of Godhra in the state.

The court also ordered change of the public prosecutor who had earlier contested the case.

Talking to UNI, Vyas, also the state BJP spokesman, said there could not be any reaction or criticism by any individual, party or government to the apex court judgement.

"However, he said, "the state BJP government would take all legal steps necessary after obtaining the views and guidelines of the legal experts." Meanwhile, Union Finance minister Jashwant Singh, who was in the city, said the "Supreme Court's decision is supreme and abiding for all." But since he had not seen the order, he said it seemed to be against the state government and not against the BJP.

Singh disagreed that the decision was a blow to the BJP.

Talking to newspersons, he expressed confidence that the authorities and analysts would take the judgement in the right spirit.
