Speaker nominates members to several committees

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Mar 15 : Speaker Legislative Assembly Tara Chand has nominated Chairman and Members to serve on select committee on the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (37th Amendment) Bill, 2003 (L.A Private Members' Bill No.29 of 2003) consequent upon the motion adopted by the House on 4th of this month.

The Committee shall submit its report to the House during next session of the Legislative Assembly.

The Committee headed by Minister of State for PHE Jugal Kishore will have Mian Altaf Ahmad, Mir Saifullah, Prem Sagar Aziz, Mohammad Sartaj Madni and Dr.

Manohar Lal Sharma as members.

The Speaker, consequent upon the motion adopted by the House on March 4, has also nominated the members to serve on the select committee on the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (38th Amendment) Bill, 2003 (L.

Private Members' Bill No.

30 of 2003) with the direction that the committee shall submit its report to the House during next session of the legislative assembly.

Minister of State for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S.

Manjeet Singh will be the Chairman of the select committee while Sharif-ud-Din Shariq, Smt.

Khem Lata Wakloo, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, G.

Jan, Peer Mohammad Hussain, G.

Saroori, Balwant Singh and Sonam Wangchok Narboo will be its members.

Tara Chand, in exercise of powers conferred upon him by Rule 282 (2) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, has nominated the members to serve on the select committees for un-expired terms of these committees.

Girdhari Lal will be the member of J&K Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine (Amendment) Bill, 2003 (L.

Private Members' Bill No.5 of 2003).

Haji Abdul Rashid and Smt.

Shanti Devi will be the members of the committee on the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir ( 36th Amendment) Bill, 2003 (L.

Saroori and Girdhari Lal have been nominated as members of the select committee on the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (Amendment) Bill, 2003 (L.
