Speaker seeks people's cooperation for speedy development

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 4: As many as 450 teachers have been appointed under Rehbar-e-Taleem programme in Khour block during the last two years to give boost to the education sector in this border area.

A Large number of schools have been upgraded for to expand education facilities This was disclosed by the Speaker Legislative Assembly, Tara Chand during a public meeting at village Jogwan in Akhnoor tehsil yesterday.

He said that the present government is committed to uplift the living conditions of the people of rural, backward and border areas.

For this, the government has introduced various schemes.

Tara Chand said that the government has tried its level best to provide all basic amenities to the people of this border belt, which include relief to migrants who were dislocated due to shelling across the border.

He said upgradation of heath institutions, road connectivity, and improvement in power sector and other sectors is afoot in the area.
