Sports minister to be honoured with police medal

BHOPAL, Aug 6 (UNI): Minister of state for sports and youth welfare Rustam Singh will be honoured with the President's Police Medal on August 15.

Chief Minister Uma Bharti will present the medal to Singh at the main function of the Independence Day to be organised at the Lal Parade Ground.

This is for the for the first time in the state's history when a minister would be adorned with the President's Police Medal.

Singh had resigned from his post of Inspector General Of Police on September 1, 2003 to contest the Vidhan Sabha election.
