Swashpawan Singh appoined Permanent Rep to UN offices in Geneva

NEW DELHI, June 23 (UNI) Swashpawan Singh, presently Ambassador toKuwait has been appointed India's next PermanentRepresentative/Ambassador to the United Nations offices in Geneva,in succession to Hardeep Singh Puri.

Puri had been earlier appointed Ambassador to Brazil replacing Amitava Tripathi.

In another appointment, Bhaskar Kumar Mitra, presently Ambassador to Bahrain, has been made the next envoy to Myanmar, an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said here today.

Mitra replaces Rajiv Kumar Bhatia who is the new Ambassador to Mexico.
