TDP leaders call on Bardan to reiterate their opposition to N-deal
NEW DELHI, Jul 2 (UNI): Continuing its tough stance on the Indo-US nuclear deal, the CPI today told the Telugu Desam Party that it will do no business with the Congress-led UPA government if it were to go before the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency for completing the pending business.
The party's line on the controversial nuclear deal was conveyed when TDP Parliamentary Party leader Yerran Naidu called on CPI General Secretary A B Bardan and D Raja at Ajay Bhavan this afternoon, CPI leader Atul Kumar Anjan, who was present at the meeting, said.
Naidu on his part reasserted that his party stood by its opposition to the Indo-US nuclear deal in Parliament.
Yesterday Naidu had met CPI-M General Secretary Prakash Karat for a discussion on the nuclear deal ahead of the UNPA's meeting where TDP is a major player.
