TIC symposium at Katra
KT NEWS SERVICE KATRA, June 7: A symposium on "Environment Protection" was organized by Tehsil Information Centre, Katra at New Shishu Vidya Mandir High School Katra today.

Harish Dubey was the chief guest on the occasion presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Dubey urged upon the students to communicate the message to their families generate awareness among the society about the need to protect environment.
16 students participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topic.
Pradeep of 7th class adjudged first, Ananya Khajuria of 4th class second and Pallavi of class 10th declared third were awarded prizes by chief guest.
Principal of the school also threw light on the topic and expressed gratitude to the Information Department for organizing such event in the school.
Later, the chief distributed prizes among winners and participants of symposium.
J&K fertilizer situation improve's KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, June 7: Director Agriculture Jammu Vinod Bala Sharma reviewed the availability and off take of fertilizers, seeds and other agricultural inputs during the meeting of field officers of the department here today.
She stated that all efforts have been made to ensure that all necessary inputs are made available to farmers during the current Kharif 2008 season.
She said three rail rakes of DAP fertilizer (7675 Mts approx) have arrived in the state which would improve the availability of fertilizer and brighten the Kharif crop prospects.
Regarding supply of High Yielding Variety seeds to the farmers in Jammu region, she said that timely and area based stocking has been done.
She asked the field officers to motivate and train the farming community in use of improved and scientific inputs and technology so that full field potential is realized to achieve the goal of food security.
